Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Le Quang Tu, Director of the Logistics Department, underlined that this was a meaningful and practical activity showing the sentiments and care of the GDP for wounded and sick soldiers, national contributors, policy beneficiaries, and local people with difficult conditions.
It was an occasion for the unit to educate officers, soldiers, and staff on the revolutionary nature, the glorious tradition of the GDP, patriotism, the “When drinking the water, remember its sources” tradition, and gratitude activities, to name but a few.
During the program, experienced medical staff from Military Hospital 354 gave free medical examinations, health counseling, and medicines to more than 200 people. Meanwhile, they instructed policy beneficiaries and people on how to prevent and treat common diseases, and take care of their health.
On the occasion, authorized by leaders of the GDP, Major General Tran Ngoc Anh, Director of the Department of Political Affairs presented 60 gifts to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in Dinh Hoa district. Senior Colonel Le Quang Tu also handed over a set of minor operation instruments and two sets of blood pressure monitors.
Earlier, medical staff offered incense at the historical site of the GDP in Tham Tang village, Dinh Bien commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province.
