Distressed fisherman saved at sea
PANO – The Border Post of An Thoi Port under the Kien Giang provincial Border Guard Command on December 14 saved a distressed fisherman at sea.
At 8:15am of the same day, fisherman Luong Van Thien, 1993, a native of An Minh district of Kien Giang province, had an accident on trawler KG93425TS while fishing at sea.
The victim was then towed to An Thoi Port by the province’s fisheries resources surveillance force.
Learning of this information, the border post immediately sent a mission of six members to the scene to support the rescue task.

Four hours later, the fisherman arrived at the port. The border post’s mission worked with the fisheries resources surveillance force to give Thien first aid and take him to the hospital for further treatment.
According to initial diagnosis, Thien had trauma to his head.
