PANO - The Ministry of National Defence’s Technical Science and Military Technology Council on June 26th held a conference to review scientific and technical results recorded by the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre over the past time, and work out the centre’s 2015-2020 plan under the chair of Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh.

Established in 1993, the centre has conducted many scientific and technologial studies, technology transfer, training high-skilled staff, and effectively developing scientific and technological potential of the two countries.
Addressing the conference, General Khanh asked the centre to complete the contents and research orientations by 2020 with a focus on ensuring technology to improve weapons and equipment and exploiting them in real situations.
The general requested the centre and relevant units to put forward plans for science and technology tasks in the time to come.
