PANO - The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army carried out many activities to mark the 67th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27th).

Presenting gifts to the Nghe An provincial Convalescent Centre

Up to July 28th, the unit sent missions to present over 800 gifts to policy beneficiaries in Hanoi city, Nghe An and Quang Binh provinces, visited families of soldiers dead or injured in the recent military helicopter crash in the outskirts of Hanoi while participating in a parachute training exercise, and conducted the “Army joins hands for community’s health” movement.

A delegation led by Major General Nguyen Kim Son, Political Director of the General Staff, visited war invalids and sick soldiers at the Nghe An provincial Convalescent Centre, offered incense to late General Vo Nguyen Giap, and gave gifts to border guards protecting the general’s resting place in the Vung Chua-Yen Island area of Quang Binh province, inquired after heroic Vietnamese mothers, and paid tribute to martyrs at cemeteries in the province.

In addition, Corporation 28 of the General Department of Logistics has voluntarily cared for heroic Vietnamese mother Le Thi Tiem in Ly Nhon commune, Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City, and gave gifts to local veterans.
