Units hailed for good preparations for upcoming public art festival
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army highly hailed military agencies and units for their participation for the upcoming ninth Public Art Festival for Armed Forces, Youths and Students of Region 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

During a meeting on July 21, General Nghia asked participating units to strictly observe the festival’s regulations, rehearse their performances and ensure absolute safety of personnel.
General Nghia also visited and encouraged several participating public art troupes.
Earlier in the day, the organizers of the art and music festival of Region 1 summoned its members to review the preparation for the festival.
On the schedule, the event with 90 art items will take place at the Southern Military Theater from July 24 to 28 with the participation of nearly 500 artists from 14 art troupes.
So far, participating units have rehearsed their acts successfully.
Apart from performances at the festival, participating units will entertain troops and people in the South, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City.

Addressing the meeting, Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Head of the Department of Information and Education and Head of the organizing panel of the festival praised involved defense agencies and military units for their good preparation and asked them to pay due attention to improving health of the participants, and maintain the good image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers during the festival.
General Sang said that the success of the festival in Region 1 will be a good foundation for the organizers to well organize a similar event in Regions 2 and 3.
