PANO – The General Department of Defence Industry of the Vietnam People’s Army, Army Corps 4’s Department of Politics and Military Hospital 268 of Military Zone 4’s Department of Logistics on July 24th kicked off the program, “Army joins hands for community’s health” in Yen Bai, Binh Duong and Thua Thien Hue provinces, respectively.
Accordingly, a delegation of health personnel from the Department of Logistics of the General Department of Defence Industry provided free health check-ups, medicines and consultancy for more than 700 people in Yen Bai province.
The delegation also granted medical equipment to a medical station in Pa Lau commune, presented 30 gifts to policy beneficiaries, needy households and students with good academic records, and handed over a house to Nguyen Thi Gai, martyr Duong Van Nghi’s wife, in Thuong Bang La commune, Van Chan district.
Meanwhile, health personnel from Army Corps 4 Hospital, Gia Dinh People Hospital and Ho Chi Minh City Odnto-Maxillo-Facial Hospital offered free health check-ups and medicines and gifts to more than 1,200 needy locals, ethnic minority people and those who had rendered good service to the nation, in nine communes of Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province.
The delegation also handed over medical equipment to the infirmaries in Trinh An and Long Hoa communes, and helped local medical personnel improve their professionalism.
Army units in Thua Thien Hue province, including Military Hospital 268, the provincial Military Command, Economic-Defence Unit 92, Viettel’s branch in Hue City sent their medical personnel to organize above activities in Hong Trung commune, A Luoi district.
The delegation also organised a film projection and an artistic program for local people.
