The US B52 was downed in Huu Tiep Lake, Ngoc Ha flower village, putting to an end its ability to bombard the beloved capital, Hanoi.

That was justifiably considered a huge feat of arms of the battalion in the anti-American resistance war in general and in the “Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the Air” Campaign in1972 in particular.

This year, Vietnam is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the “Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the Air” Victory.

Troops of Battalion 72 always practice combat plans, observe combat readiness duties to be ready for any circumstances.

PANO would like to introduce some images of the troops during training.
