The festival, organized every five years, was held in three big cities nationwide, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi, with the participation of military and public security units, education and training institutions of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC).

In region 1, about 90 art performances were presented by nearly 500 artists from 14 art troupes: Army Corps 4, HCM City Military Command, An Giang provincial Military Command, Army Corps 16, Military Hospital 175, Coast Guard Region 3 Command, Army Academy, Army Officers Training School No.2, Signal Officers Training School, Division 5 (Military Region 7), Division 330 (Military Region 9), Ministry of Public Security, the Youth Union’s Chapter in HCM City and HCM City-based University of Economics.

Addressing the ceremony, General Nghia underscored that this is an occasion to review military units’ leadership over the implementation of the whole military art and literature movement, and to boost cultural exchange between armed forces and youths nationwide, making contributions to promoting patriotism while preserving and promoting national cultural values.

He also asked participating military organizations to closely coordinate with each other, actively share experience and show their enthusiasm and talent in each art performance, making the festival an interesting cultural event to mark 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament, the 30th Whole People's Defense Festive Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.
