The workshop gathered representatives from the Ministry of National Defence’s offices, Engineering Command, and departments under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation.

On the basis of International Mine Action Standards and experiences of some nations, the conference approved the main standards and contents in “National technical norms on overcoming consequences of unexploded ordnances”.

This is an important task relating to Decision 504/QĐ-TTg, signed on April 21st 2010 by the Vietnamese Prime Minister, to ratify “The national mine action program in the period of 2010-2025”.
