Present at the event were Major General Nguyen Minh Thang, permanent member of the Party Committee and Deputy Commissar of the MTA; representatives from President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, leaders and chains-of-command of the MTA’s affiliated agencies and units, and 179 Youth Union members and youngsters, representing over 5,000 MTA’s cadres, Youth Union members and youths, participating in the 9th Congress of the MTA’s Youth Union Organization in the 2022-2027 period.

At the event, Senior Colonel Cao Trung Ha, Deputy Chief of the Political Department of the MTA, underlined that over the past five years, all MTA cadres, Youth Union members and youths have been fully aware of their duties and responsibility for the Fatherland construction and defense cause. They have absolutely trusted the Party’s leadership, surmounted difficulties and striven to confirm their positions, role and contribute to the academy’s political duty fulfillment.

Together with effectively carrying out emulation movements launched by the General Department of Political Affairs and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Youth Union members have actively overcome hardships, further studied to improve professional expertise, promoted their creativity and dynamism, applied information technology to their duties, and learnt and lectured in foreign languages to meet task requirements in the new situation.

Notably, various groups and individuals have snatched high results in competitions, such as Olympics, VIFOTEC, “Young Vietnamese scientific talents,” “Creative youths in the military,” Robocon, Softcon, among others.

The MTA’s Youth Union Organization has actively participated in volunteer youth movements, thereby enhancing troops and people ties and receiving high appreciation from the Party committee and authorities in the locality where the academy is stationed.

In five years, the MTA’s 30 Youth Union organizations, 139 young cadres, instructors, cadets, and students have been awarded with emulation flags and merit certificates by higher levels. Six cadres and cadets have been recognized as typical and promising young talents of the military. Twelve female students have been honored with the title “typical female cadets in science and technology,” and nearly 2,000 cadres, Youth Union members and youths rewarded.
