MR7 receives first-class Feat-of-Arms Order
PANO – The Military Region 7 Command held a ceremony on July 28 to receive the first-class Feat-of-Arms Order with the attendance of Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong.

During the fourth outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City and Southeast provinces, tens of thousands of soldiers from Military Region 7 were at the forefront in the fight against the “COVID-19 enemy” with high determination and responsibilities to help local authorities and people. Despite harsh weather conditions and the high risks of being exposed to COVID-19, MR7’s troops exerted all-out efforts to complete all assigned missions.
In Ho Chi Minh City, MR7 mobilized nearly 102,000 soldiers and militiamen, set up around 17,000 medical checkpoints in pandemic-hit areas and land and maritime borders, provided medical supplies, food, necessities, and medicines for the locals, handled dead bodies of people infected with COVID-19 and handed over the ashes to their families.
With outstanding achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control work, Military Region 7 was presented with the first-class Feat-of-Arms Order.

Moreover, MR7’s Commander Major General Nguyen Truong Thang, MR7’s Political Commissar Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, MR7’s Deputy Commander Major General Dang Van Hung were conferred with the second-class Fatherland Protection Order. MR7’s Deputy Commander Major General Vo Van Thi was honored with the third-class Fatherland Protection Order.
