Authorized by the State President, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong hands over the first-class Feat-of-Arms Order to Military Region 7.

During the fourth outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City and Southeast provinces, tens of thousands of soldiers from Military Region 7 were at the forefront in the fight against the “COVID-19 enemy” with high determination and responsibilities to help local authorities and people. Despite harsh weather conditions and the high risks of being exposed to COVID-19, MR7’s troops exerted all-out efforts to complete all assigned missions.

In Ho Chi Minh City, MR7 mobilized nearly 102,000 soldiers and militiamen, set up around 17,000 medical checkpoints in pandemic-hit areas and land and maritime borders, provided medical supplies, food, necessities, and medicines for the locals, handled dead bodies of people infected with COVID-19 and handed over the ashes to their families.

With outstanding achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control work, Military Region 7 was presented with the first-class Feat-of-Arms Order.
