PANO - Localities across the country on February 26th handed over selected youths to army units in the enlistment call of this year.

* Thanks to good preparations, Lang Son province completed this year’s enlistment drive. All the enlistees are of high political stance and academic standard and in good health.

* This year’s drive, nearly 600 youths in Bac Ninh province wrote petitions to voluntarily join the army. Before the handover ceremony, the localities held many meaningful activities such as artistic exchanges to encourage the enlistees to serve the military.

* Among new recruits in Kien Giang province, 13.6 per cent of them are from ethnic minority groups.

* Notably, almost all new enlistees in Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, An Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces are graduates from high schools, vocational schools, universities and colleges. They are of high political stance and in the process of striving for membership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
