More care for national contributors
PANO - The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army has approved the plan of the Military Youth Board in celebration of the 71st anniversary of Wounded Soldiers' and Martyrs' Day (July 27) and the 50th anniversary of the Dong Loc Junction Victory (July 24).
Accordingly, the Military Youth Board will cooperate with the Department of Politics of Military Region 4 and the Quang Tri Youth Union to organize an artistic program themed "The epic of Road 9," light candles in tribute to fallen soldiers at the Road 9 National War Cemetery, visit policy beneficiaries and national contributors, and support the “VND 100 house” project in Quang Tri province.
In addition, the Military Youth will actively participate in songwriting movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dong Loc Junction Victory launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, visit and present gifts to fallen soldiers' families and relatives of 10 fallen female youth volunteers of the Dong Loc Junction, and plant trees at the monument and memorial house of heroic martyrs.
Together with agencies and units of the whole military, the political agency will present gifts to national contributors and needy students; built the VND-100-million houses for troops, defense workers and policy households; cooperate with local authorities and twinning units to embellish war cemeteries and monuments where the units are stationed; light candles in tribute to fallen soldiers; present saving books, and provide free health check-ups and medicine to local people, in association with the implementation of the monument "the military joining hands to build new-style rural areas."
