PANO – The Party Committee and Command of Military Zone 5 organized a conference on February 20th in Da Nang City to review ten years of implementing the 9th Party Central Committee’s Resolution N.8, five years of implementing Resolution 28- NQ/TW by the Politburo, and Decree 152/2007/NĐ – CP by the Government.
Over the past ten years, the unit's Party Committee and Command have comprehensively carried out activities to increase people’s awareness of strategy of national protection. Localities in the zone also held training courses for reserve forces, contributing to easing the shortage of staff in reserve units.
To carry out Resolution 28- NQ/TW by the Politburo and Decree 152/2007/NĐ – CP by the Government, the command has worked closely with party committees and local authorities of provinces and cities to command and instruct units to build strong defensive areas, ensure political security and public order, and create favourable conditions among units for socio-economic development.
Over the past years, subordinate units of the Military Zone have applied specific plans for natural disaster control and fire prevention. These units have successfully ensured security in border areas, at sea and on islands.
