After Brigade 414's launching ceremony, more than 300 troops planted 240 trees, including 234 jackfruit trees and six lemon trees.

In response to President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal “Spring is the time of the tree planting festival, making the country better and better,” the tree planting festival has become an annual festival to raise its troops' awareness of and responsibility for protecting the environment, coping with climate change, and creating an exciting atmosphere for troops during the Tet festival.

This year, troops of the Nghe An Border Guard Command planted more than 1,000 fruit trees, contributing to beautifying their unit. On this occasion, the unit mobilized its troops to plant trees along the borderline of the province.

Following President Ho Chi Minh’s above teaching, the Military Region 4 Command launched a similar activity at the Kim Lien relic site in Nam Dan district.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Le Doan Anh asked chains-of-command of the units to promote information dissemination on the meaning of the tree-planting festival for their troops.

According to the Command, its affiliated units have actively responded to the tree-planting movement this year with over 115,780 trees planted.

All troops from units and agencies of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command actively participated in the tree-planting movement with around 842 trees planted.
