PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army held a video conference on October 17th to review the whole army’s training quality in the third quarter of 2013, under the chair of Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Over the past time, army units promptly implemented training courses as scheduled, meeting set requirements. They held 64 courses for over 58,000 troops, 33 contests and festivals, and safely conducted exercises.
The units also maintained the watch, combat readiness, logistics and technique works, as well as reduced cases of violations of military regulations and the number of traffic accidents against the same period last year.
Until the year end, army units will continue to carry out their training plans, including training new recruits in the second enlistment drive of 2013, organizing drills, inspecting the building of strong party organizations and comprehensive strong units, and providing training courses for trainees at all levels.
