PANO - A telemedicine system will be installed to link the infirmary on Song Tu Tay Island with the Central Military Hospital 108 in Hanoi, contributing to the improvement of healthcare and treatment, especially surgeries for troops and people on the island.

This over VND 1.6 billion system is a present of the family of Phan Thi To Duyen.

On June 23rd, the Military Science and Technology Institute under the Ministry of National Defence received this special donation.

The telemedicine system will be carried out by the Electronics Informatics Chemical JSC., (ELINCO) under the Institute. This system will directly link with that of the Central Military Hospital 108 via a satellite link.

According to Major General Do Nang Tinh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics, the same system linking Truong Sa Lon Island with Military Hospital 175 has been effective. Since the beginning of this year, this system has supported over 20 emergency cases.
