By 8:00 am on March 3, 11 localities in Soc Trang province had completed handing over recruits to local military units with absolute safety.
Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s handover ceremonies were shortened.

* The same day, 21 districts and Thu Duc city in Ho Chi Minh City, together with other localities of Military Region 7 held ceremonies to hand over recruits to military units.
The ceremony in District 5 was attended by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, among others.
This year, the city handed over 3,800 youths to military units and over 800 youths to public security units.
Reportedly, the local Party committees and authorities paid much attention to care for new recruits such as presenting gifts and savings books to recruits in need, giving them COVID-19 tests, to name but a few.

* Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong attended the new recruit handover ceremony in Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province.
This year, the authorities of Kim Bang district handed over new recruits to many units, such as Division 350, the Ha Nam Provincial Military Command, Division 312, Brigade 144, and the Department of Electronic Warfare.
* Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Defense Minister, attended a ceremony in Van Lam district, Hung Yen province.
The province handed over new recruits to five units of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 3 and Army Corps 2. 100 percent of the new recruits were tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
* Meanwhile, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense also attended the new recruits handover ceremonies in the provinces of Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, An Giang, Tien Giang, Lai Chau, Son La, Binh Thuan, Dien Bien, and Quang Ninh.
Reportedly, the new recruits are in good health and determined to fulfill their assigned tasks.
