More than 100 “little soldiers”, who are children of disadvantaged servicemen and servicewomen, youth union officials, and needy households in the city, are enrolled in the course.

During the week-long military course, they will train in basic survival skills, military discipline, physical exercise, rescue skills, and practical operation.

Additionally, the students will also join other activities, such as presentation, teamwork, art exchange programs, visiting Historical Relic Site in Can Gio district, writing diaries and writing letters to their families, lighting candles for fallen soldiers in the Sac forest, and presenting gifts to students in Can Thanh school.

The program aimed to provide children with basic understanding of the army life and People’s Army tradition of heroism, as well as educate them about the national pride, solidarity and love. The program also support them in their future study and life.
