PANO - Helicopter Mi-171 SAR-8413 of Regiment 917 of Air Force Division 370 (under the Air Defense and Air Force (ADAF) Service) successfully transported non-commissioned officer Tran Van Dinh with a serious illness, from Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island (Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province), ashore for treatment on August 21st.

At 15:30pm on August 20th, Dinh, born in 1975 had an accident while implementing a mission. Local doctors had given him initial treatment and suggested taking him ashore as his life was at risk.
The regiment’s helicopter was assigned on August 21 to take the ill officer ashore. Despite bad weather condition, the flight crew of Regiment 917 successfully transported the patient to Tan Son Nhat Airport at 15:40pm the same day.
Immediately after landing, the patient was driven to Military Hospital 175 for further treatment.
