PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, on September 19th chaired the first session of the Steering Board for the construction project of the Headquarters of Military Broadcasting Centre.

At the event, the Defence Minister’s decision on establishing the eight-member board and permanent agencies, headed by General Lich, was announced together with its operating regulations, the number of members of the Management Board and a draft plan on carrying the project.

Accordingly, the centre’s headquarters will be built on an area of nearly 6,000sq.m at No.165 Xa Dan street, Dong Da district, Hanoi late next year and will be operational in three years.

Addressing the session, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich underlined the political significance of the project, and urged the members of the Steering Board to uphold their responsibilities, and actively find and cooperate with international and domestic consultants and designers, and closely work with relevant units of Hanoi to carry out the project in time.
