PANO – Hanoi's Police has launched a movement to raise funds to build a CQ patrol boat for Truong Sa troops, said Hanoi's Police Director Major General Nguyen Duc Chung during his recent visit to the Navy.

 

The high-speed boat, meeting the environment and weather challenge and patrol missions in Truong Sa, will be built by Factory X70 of the Navy at a cost of VND 4 billion raised by Hanoi Police. The boat can reach a speed of 28 nautical miles per hour. 

Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Defence Minister and Commander of the Vietnam People's Navy, thanked the Hanoi Police for its sentiment to sea and islands and naval troops, and promised to instruct the factory to make it on time before handing it over to those who are on mission of defending national sovereignty.

On the occasion, the delegation visited Factory X70 to see shipbuilding process.
