PANO - The General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army signed an agreement to collaborate with Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on information dissemination relating to defense and military missions on August 18. Present at the event were GDP's Director Sen. Lt. Gen. Luong Cuong, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, VTV's General Director Tran Binh Minh, VOV's General Director Nguyen The Ky, and other representatives of the three agencies.

According to the agreement, the GDP's relevant units will provide information related to defense and military missions for VTV and VOV in an active and timely manner, contributing to orienting the public opinion toward precise information in line with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies. In addition, VTV's and VOV's reporters will receive GDP’s best support to cover military activities in the whole army.
The information dissemination work will focus on the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the National Defense Ministry in order to strengthen the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam on the mission of protecting the fatherland in the current context.
