GDP’s leader visits former senior leaders
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited and inquired after former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, and GDP’s former Directors General Do Quyet and Senior Lieutenant General Pham Thanh Ngan on July 19.

During the visits, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the GDP’s leadership, General Cuong wished the senior military leaders good health and hoped that they would make more contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party as well as the building of a revolutionary, regular, elite and gradually-modernized army.
The GDP’s Director also briefed the former generals on outstanding achievements of the army in the past time in its implementation of Party and political tasks and gratitude activities. He stressed that all troops determine to promote the heroic traditions of their forefathers, contributing to meeting the task requirements in the current context.
For their part, the senior military leaders highly valued the outcomes of Party building and political work and gratitude activities of the military over the past time. They hoped that the GDP would continue providing timely advice to higher levels and direct the army to continue fulfilling the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress. In addition, the GDP should uphold troops’ political stance and determination in order to undertake and complete all assigned missions.
