General Ngo Xuan Lich visits former MND’s leader
PANO - General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo’s member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Defense Minister, on July 13 visited and presented gifts to General Pham Van Tra, former Politburo’s member and former Defense Minister.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense (MND), cadres and soldiers, General Lich wished General Tra good health and more precious and practical contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the military-building and defense-consolidating cause.
General Lich also briefed General Tra on several outstanding outcomes in military, defense and military-building, troops’ performance of national construction and protection missions, the military’s gratitude activities to mark the 71st Woudned Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day.
General Lich emphasized that troops in the military will continue studying hard and following older generations who had devoted their flesh and blood to the country in the resistance wars against foreign invaders for national independence and reunification. They will continuously bring into play the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, boost solidarity and overcome all difficulties to fulfill all assigned missions, deserving the trust of the Party, State and people.
General Tra thanked leaders of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and troops for their consideration for, gratitude to and sentiment with older generations, wounded and sick soldiers, families of fallen soldiers and revolutionary contributors. He hoped the cause of consolidating defense, building revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern Vietnam People’s Army will reap good outcomes, meeting the national building and protecting mission in the current context.
