GDP's Deputy Chief inspects parade training forces in MR 5
PANO - On March 12, a delegation from the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, visited Engineering Brigade 270 of Military Region 5 (MR 5) to inspect and encourage parade training forces in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
Accompanying the delegation was Senior Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, MR 5's Deputy Political Commissar.

Military Region 5 has been assigned by the Ministry of National Defense to form and train three parade formations, which are the Cyber Operation Force Formation, the Task Force Paratroopers' Formation, and the Maritime Militiamen Formation.
After a rigorous selection process, nearly 500 officers and soldiers meeting the required standards have been undergoing intensive training since early December 2024.

Following an on-site inspection and briefing on training progress, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To commended the officers and soldiers for their dedication and efforts in overcoming difficulties to ensure high-quality training.
Since the start of the training program, MR5’s leadership has closely monitored political and ideological work, ensuring that all soldiers remain highly motivated and responsible during training. The military region has also developed a comprehensive training plan, conducted regular health check-ups for all personnel, and provided adequate military uniforms, weapons, and equipment.

During the inspection, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To emphasized the significance and pride associated with participating in the historic parade, urging all personnel to remain highly committed and disciplined in their training.
