Flight safety in the central of Vietnam reviewed
PANO - A conference to review coordination in space management and air traffic control in central Vietnam in 2016 was held in Da Nang on January 16th.
The conference was co-hosted by Air Force Division 372, Air Defense Division 275, and Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation’s branch in the central region.
According to reports at the conference, in recent years, units stationing in the areas have coordinated closely with each other and seriously observed regulations in managing the space and air traffic.
The units have also taken full advantage of the human resource and equipment to ensure flight safety for domestic and international flights transiting through the region’s sky.
The units cooperated, managed, monitored, and protected 9,429 Vietnam’s military flights, 680 foreign military flights, and 404,579 civilian flights.
At the conference, the participants also seriously discussed shortcomings in space and air traffic management, and worked out methods to better fulfill their tasks in 2017.
Accordingly, the units will regularly consolidate and perfect their combat plans, launch training operations to enhance professionalism, and increase training in coordinated contents.
