Beyond training, studying, and daily activities, the female militia members also share responsibility for preparing meals, ensuring three proper daily meals for the entire unit. Alongside their comrades, they promote farming and livestock production to improve living conditions, while also maintaining and beautifying the unit’s environment.

Colonel Dang Cao Cuong, Commanding Officer of the Military Command of Dak Sak commune, said that many members of the female standing militia squad are married and raising young children, while others still face difficult family circumstances. Despite these challenges, they remain steadfast, committed, and determined to fulfill their duties.

According to him, on the training grounds and during missions, the women’s spirit of learning, perseverance, and determination has inspired their male comrades to train harder and strive for greater progress. The unit’s chain-of-command regularly encourages and creates favorable conditions for them to maximize their strengths, talents, and sense of responsibility.

During a short break on the sun-scorched training field, the clear and melodious singing voices of the female militia members brought comfort and encouragement to their comrades, helping ease the heat and exhaustion of training.

By the majestic Yok R’keh mountain range, despite hardships and challenges, the female militia members continue day and night to stand firmly at their posts, safeguarding the peace and happiness of the people.
