PANO – A mission of the Naval Region 2 Command on January 17th held a ceremony commemorating soldiers who were killed in action in the southern continental shelf.

The mission is on a visit to extend Lunar New Year or Tet greetings to troops on DK1 platforms, Con Dao island district, Kien Giang province, and ships on duty in the area.

The delegation was moved when hearing about the martyrs’ brave sacrifice, and then offered incense and released a wreath in commemoration of the martyrs.

Over the past years, troops on duty on DK1 platforms have overcome difficulties to firmly defend the nation’s sacred sovereignty.
