Since early this year, the unit has embraced and seriously carried out directives and documents, issued by the Military Region 5 Command, on implementing military-defense missions coupling with preventing COVID-19.

The unit also worked closely with Military Region 5’s affiliates and local authorities to hand over a water-supplying facility to the locality for people’s domestic use. It also regularly checked the progress of the poverty reduction models for 106 local households. Additionally, it coordinated with enterprises to experiment production models on the unit-managed project lands, thereby raising the income of its staff and workers and improving locals’ living standards.

Concluding the working trip, General Tuong highly praised the unit’s good task performance. He asked it to double check combat readiness-related documents, strictly observe guard regulations, exercise military discipline and State laws, and organize training programs.

On the occasion, General Tuong visited on-duty troops at a military-civilian checkpoint in Ea Bung commune, Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province.
