* Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), visited Security Unit 3 of the Department of Military Security Protection and Da Nang city-based representative offices of several military press agencies, including the People’s Army Newspaper, Military Broadcasting Center, People’s Army Publishing House, and All People Defense Magazine.

After being briefed by these units on their task performances in 2019, General Phuong praised them for the good outcomes. Particularly, they embraced directives and resolutions from higher levels, closely worked with functional forces to ensure local social order and security, and promptly disseminated military-security work and major events held in the locality.
In the coming time, the units were requested to continue to promote political and ideological education, actively follow situational developments in their stationed areas, and improve the quality of information dissemination about combat readiness, search and rescue, and other daily activities of local troops and people.
On this occasion, General Phuong extended Tet greetings and presented Tet gifts from the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense to these units.

At a working session, Senior Colonel Le Van Long, Commander of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command, informed the delegates of the unit’s achievements in implementing assigned tasks over the past time.
Having hailed their outcomes, Rear Admiral Binh asked them to further maintain combat readiness posture, and team up with other forces to ensure social order and security, and strictly safeguard major targets.
In addition, they should organize Tet celebrations, prepare forces and equipment to address any circumstances in request, and take care of the material and spiritual lives of the troops.

* The same day, Rear Admiral Binh extended wishes of a cozy and happy Tet to Regiments 238 and 240 under Division 363 of the Air Defense-Air Force Service.
At these meetings, he urged the units to continue ensuring combat readiness posture; effectively holding this Tet for troops in a safe, joyful, healthy, and economical manner; make all preparations for training new recruits; and completing Party congresses at all levels.
