The deputy defense minister emphasized that troops in the whole military promise to try their best to deserve great sacrifices of the fallen and be determined to fulfill noble tasks assigned by the Party, State, and people. They will exert efforts to manage and firmly protect national sovereignty and security in border areas; build a borderline of peace, stability, friendship, cooperation, and development; build a prosperous and civilized country.
On the occasion, the visiting mission and the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of the Vietnam Border Guard Command handed over 60 houses, 250 gift packages, and 250 scholarships to policy families, needy households, and needy students with good academic results.
While visiting Po Hen and Quang Duc Border Posts, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien lauded the units’ troops for their outcomes in protecting national sovereignty and security in border areas and ensuring public order in the locality. They have closely embraced situational developments and given timely advice to the local Party Committee and authorities to build a firm whole people’s defense disposition and whole people’s security disposition.
He urged the units to overcome difficulties and hold a happy, safe, and economical New Year Festival for troops and people in border areas in accordance with the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations while paying attention to carrying out policies for troops’ families and strictly maintaining combat readiness.

In addition to that, the units should accelerate patrol to firmly protect national sovereignty, national integrity, political security, and public orders in border areas. Right after the lunar New Year holidays, they should start carrying out training and border defense work and promote dissemination of the Vietnam Border Guard Law to people in border areas.
On the occasion, the mission visited and presented gifts to personnel working at medical checkpoints of Po Hen and Quang Duc Border Posts.
Praising troops’ efforts, the deputy defense minister encouraged them to continue promoting virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, overcome difficulties, strictly observe regulations and disciplines, and effectively carry out assigned missions.
