PANO - A mission of the General Staff under the Vietnam People's Army, led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Lt. Gen. Be Xuan Truong has just finished a ten-day visit to Truong Sa (Spratly) islands and the DK1 platforms.

During the tour, delegates informed the islands and platforms' troops of the Party and State's stance on solving disputes in the East Sea and encouraged them to maintain their standing to protect the national sacred sovereignty over sea and islands.

The mission also took part in the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Truong Sa islands' liberation, dropped flowers and offered incense to commemorate martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in the Southern continental shelf.
