At the reception, Colonel An Van Thang, Head of the Institute, gave General Phung Quang Thanh and the delegation a briefing on the unit’s efforts to take challenges in their stride to master their equipment, fulfilling all assigned tasks.
Since 2000, the Institute implemented more than 100 projects at all levels and many of them were put into production. Colonel Thang also recommended that the General Department and Defence Ministry should add more workforce for the unit, provide a convenient working environment and equipment for researchers to meet its tasks.
Addressing the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Military Party Commission and Defence Ministry, General Thanh highly valued the Institute’s achievements over the past years and affirmed that the troops should continue to improve their professionalism, politics and ideology to study more new weapons and military equipment for the army.
Earlier, the Institute received the Third-Class National Defence Order on its 65th anniversary.
On the same day, the Minister also visited Z199 (under the General Department of National Defence Industry) and Z157 (the General Department of Technology) factories.
