PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on July 13th organized a meeting with the Compilation Board and Editorial Team of the Governmental Decree on managing activities of overcoming post-war bomb and mine consequences under the chair of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan.

As planned, the decree will have seven chapters, 67 articles focusing on the procedures for crafting and approving programs, managing and conducting surveys, promoting popularization and education with the aim of avoiding post-war bomb and mine-related accidents and more effective assisting victims of post-war bombs and mines, well managing information and international cooperation, fundraising for activities to surmount the aftermath of post-war bombs and mines.
The Drafting Board and Editorial Group are tasked with building plans and operation regulations, reviewing operation activities, collecting opinions and completing the decree.
Delegates at the conference raised their voice on building the decree’s contents.
The draft decree is expected to be completed late this year and submitted to the Government.
