Over the past time, the Party committees and chains-of-command of local border units at all levels have embraced and implemented higher levels’ directives, resolutions and plans on military-defense, border and force-building tasks.

Its affiliated agencies and units have also carried out comprehensively measures on border affairs, actively followed situational developments along the borderline, worked out policies and measures to deal with any emerging circumstances.

They have accomplished assigned political missions, built a comprehensively-strong border guard force, firmly defended the national border sovereignty and upheld security and order in the border areas.

Addressing the meeting, General Tien applauded the command’s task performance over the past time. He also pointed out strong and weak points in defense-military task implementation of the provincial border force and asked its Party committee and chain-of-command to continue to implement directives and resolutions on defense-military work of the Party, State and Central Military Commission.

The unit was also requested to keep a close watch on developments along the borderline, promote border management, carry out training, combat readiness, unit-building missions while observing military discipline, unit’s regulations, State law and ensuring traffic safety.
