Handing over gifts to disadvantaged students |
Four disadvantaged students are Dang Le Bao Tran (a blood cancer patient), Phan Thi Minh Hieu (a fatherless child), Nguyen Thanh Phuong (whose father is unable to work), and Mo Nun San Zun, an ethnic minority orphan who is living with his sponsor.
The gifts donated by officers and troops of the unit would encourage needy students to overcome difficulties in their lives and help them with their schooling.
Over the past years, the municipal border troops have supported nearly 50 needy children in the city in response to the “Helping poor students continue studying” program launched by the provincial Border Guard Command.
