Apart from disseminating laws, coast guards have helped fishermen feel safe to continue holding onto the sea. |
Fisherman Phan Quyet Cong Minh in Phuoc Dong commune, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province said that thanks to coast guards’ leaflets, fishermen could thoroughly grasp the law on the sea, so that they could abide by the law and resolutely fight to defend the nation's seas and islands.
In addition, the troops’ active participation in search and rescue missions helped fishermen feel safe while fishing at high sea.
Fisherman Duong Thanh Nhan who has been fishing in traditional fishing grounds in Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes for years recalled the times when his distressed boat was rescued by coast guards. He said these deeds reflected the coast guards’ love and responsibilities for fishermen.
