In 2021, the steering board has concretized resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the 11th Military Party Congress in activities of party committees, party cells and steering boards 35 of defense agencies and military units.

It has also actively advised the Politburo, Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Central Military Commission to issue policies and leadership solutions to protect the Party’s ideological foundation, fight wrongful and hostile viewpoints in the current period, consolidate and strengthen the Party’s leadership and the State’s management, and uphold political and ideological stability in the military.
Furthermore, it has compiled and issued plans, instructions, and documents to serve dissemination of information about political events of the country, national COVID-19 prevention efforts, domestic and international issues concerned by the public, political security, social order and safety. It has also oriented public opinions and troops’ thinking in a timely manner, contributing to maintaining the ideological “front” of the Party in the military.
Other achievements obtained by the steering board in the year are good performance in political education, further dissemination of information about the Party’s guideline, policies and the State’s laws, military and defense tasks, and timely criticism of wrongful and inimical views, political opportunists, and malicious information.
Regarding the key missions for the next year, the CMC’s Steering Board 35 is determined to continue observing and implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No.35 on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrongful and inimical viewpoints in the new situation coupled with realizing the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Together with effective performance of military and defense tasks, the steering board will promote emulation movements, push back degradation of politics and ideology, morality, lifestyle, and signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation.”
Additionally, it will further study, make evaluation and accurate forecasts of situational developments, orient troops’ and people’s thoughts ahead important national political events, domestic, regional and international sensitive and complex matters in a timely manner.
It will also diversify communication contents and forms to well perform its key role in the ideological and cultural front.
The steering board will thoroughly grasp sabotage plots and activities of hostile forces to avoid being put in a passive position. Apart from teaming with relevant agencies to strictly manage internal political situations, prevent malicious products from entering barracks, the board will consolidate strong and healthy party cells, comprehensively-strong units, and improve troops’ material and spiritual lives.
