Chief of the General Staff inspects Command 86
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Chief Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, who is also Deputy Defense Minister, inspected combat readiness and extended Tet greetings to troops of Command 86 on January 25 (the first day of Lunar New Year).
At the working sessions, Major General Dinh The Cuong, Commander of Command 86, briefed the delegation on the unit’s task performance and preparations for Tet (Lunar New Year festival).

Results of the inspection showed that the unit has strictly maintained their missions and organized various activities to ensure a happy, safe and economical Tet for its troops.
Visiting the unit’s troops on duty, Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang praised their efforts and stressed their important role in ensuring security and information safety for units in the whole military.
In addition, he urged them to continue promoting their achievements and overcoming shortcomings, contributing to building a regular, elite, gradually modernized unit. He noted that the unit should actively forecast situations and exactly analyze information to deal with unexpected circumstances.
On the occasion, General Giang extended Tet wishes to all troops of the Command and their families.
