Earlier, on August 3rd, fishing boat KG 8719 TS, captained by Nguyen Van Duan from Soc Son town, Hon Dat district, Kien Giang province, sank due to huge waves when anchoring near Hon Chuoi Island. Its crew members went adrift in the sea.
After receiving the news, the local border station immediately sent Ship BP 19-06-02 and troops on board to the rescue. They did a good job and rescued all the distressed fishermen and took them ashore safely.
