According to the inspection result, the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Binh Duong province have embraced and fully implemented the Party and State’s leadership and direction documents related to socio-economic development and defense and security work.

The province has directed defense and security education councils at all levels to develop plans and open courses to provide defense and security knowledge for target people, including religious dignitaries, reputable people in the community, and students, meeting the year plan goal.

In addition, the provincial Party and People’s Committees have closely combined socio-economic and cultural development and defense and security consolidation in their leadership. With recommendations from the provincial military command and others, the provincial defensive area has been strongly built and consolidated in terms of potential and position.

Notably, the provincial socio-economic projects and planning have been closely associated with the planning of building military posture and requirements of building and operating the defensive area, building spiritual and political potential, people’s heart disposition, and a strong and effective grassroots political system.

So far, the province has had 29 self-defense units established at foreign-invested enterprises. It has also ensured the enlistment work.

The province has also reaped important outcomes in civil defense work, particularly in effective COVID-19 prevention and control with nearly 300 quarantine facilities, more than 300 field hospitals and treatment areas for COVID-19 patients.

Concluding the inspection, General Tien acknowledged and applauded the province for its military and defense achievements.

In order to promote its potential and advantages in military and defense task performance, General Tien asked the province to continue to effectively realize the Party’s guidelines and the State laws and policies on national defense and build strong and healthy Party organization and cells and political system.

The provincial military command was urged to actively give recommendations on building defensive areas at the province and district levels while local military agencies should closely work with relevant units and local police to keep a close watch on defense and security situational developments to handle them in a timely manner. 

The deputy chief of the General Staff expressed his belief that the province will uphold its attainments and its leading position in strong development, contributing to the country’s successful performance of the strategic task of building and firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.
