Ba Ria - Vung Tau Border Guard Command asked to further practice combat readiness scenarios
PANO - Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS), led a GS delegation to check combat readiness posture of Long Son Border Post and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command on April 17 and 18.
On checking real situations at the two units, the delegation evaluated that both units have seriously embraced higher levels’ directions; well observed duty, combat readiness regulations; review, adjust, supplement, and practice combat readiness scenarios; prepare forces, vehicles, and equipment for prompt deployment on request.

In his concluding speech, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Doan Anh applauded and highly appreciated attainments that the Ba Ria - Vung Tau border guard officers and soldiers have obtained over the past time.
The GS deputy chief asked the two units to continue embracing higher levels’ directives and regulations on combat readiness mission, further rehearse combat, search and rescue scenarios, conduct patrols and inspections to grasp numbers of ships and people entering and existing sea border areas and islands.
The units were also urged to enhance education for troops to raise their awareness of abiding by military discipline, law, and traffic safety regulations. In addition, they should pay due attention to improving spiritual and material life as well as policies for troops and their families.
