PANO - The whole army has spent over VND 470 billion to care for policy beneficiaries and its troops during the traditional Lunar New Year or Tet holiday, as reported recently.

Accordingly, leaders of the Ministry of National Defence, the General Department of Politics and the General Staff have visited and offered Tet gifts, worth over VND 20 billion, to military units and needy people. The army units also ensured the provision of all necessities for troops during the Tet holiday and presented Tet gifts to beneficiaries, worth VND 450 billion in total.

All military units have closely followed the Central Military Commission's resolutions and directions of the ministry's leaders to ensure a happy Tet for their troops, especially for those who are undertaking missions in remote and border areas and islands.
