PANO - The closing ceremony of the 11th Whole Army Television Festival was held on September 15 evening in Nha Trang city, by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, in the presence of two deputy heads of the general department, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia and Lieutenant General Do Can.

As many as 316 TV programs, including reports, documentaries, scientific and education films and other programs from 121 units across the army competed in the festival.

The participating programs lively and comprehensively reflected all aspects of military-defense missions assigned to military units, real lives of troops, units’ and localities’ traditions. The festival saw a strong development in both quality and quantity of army television managers and workers, their enhanced professionalism, political stance, expertise and experience.

Gold medals were presented to 26 reports, eight documentaries, two scientific and education films and 23 other programs, while silver medals went to 49 other reports, 12 documentaries, three scientific and educational films and 28 other programs.

The festival’s steering committee also presented certificates of merits to 114 TV programs whose makers showed their great efforts in making them. The General Department of Politics awarded certificates of merit to six units in recognition of their outstanding achievements in making the festival successful.
