With this good result along with the previous impressive performances in the qualification round of the Tank Biathlon contest, the Vietnamese Tank contingent won a ticket to the semi-finals of the contest to compete with their rivals from seven other teams.

On the last day of the qualification round, the Vietnamese gunmen eliminated three targets from distances of 1,600m, 1,700m and 900m. The crew finished the track in 37 minutes 46 seconds, after the Cuban crew (33 minutes 39 seconds).

Also on this day, the organizer allowed the Cuban Tank team’s second crew to redo the test because the engine of the crew’s tank caught fire during operation.

The organizing panel will make an official announcement on the final results of tank contingents after a briefing.

In the qualification round, the Vietnamese contingent is in the same group with Cuban, Angolan and Sudanese teams.
