Vietnamese rescuers jointly save a quake victim in Myanmar
PANO - The rescue forces of the Vietnam People’s Army in Myanmar, in collaboration with their peers from the host country and Turkey, successfully rescued a youngster trapped in Aye Chan Thar Hotel in Naypyidaw at 2p.m. on April 2.
The rescued victim is Htet Maung Maung, aged 26, a hotel’s chef. He is in sound mind since he was provided with IV fluids by the rescuers earlier the same day.

The victim’s father, U Myint Lin, said that when the earthquake happened, all members of his family were at home except his son, Htet Maung Maung, who was still working at the hotel. His family had not received any news about the son for nearly a week. Just on April 2 morning, they were reported that the son was still alive.

Having been rescued from the rubble, Htet Maung Maung was taken to nearby hospital amid cheers from his family, rescuers and bystanders.
