Vietnam, US continues boosting defense ties

At the reception, Major General Stephen Sklenk, Director of the US Strategic Planning and Policy Directorate briefed the host on the meeting between his delegation and representatives of the Department of Foreign Relations under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense. Accordingly, the two sides have discussed roadmaps and plans to promote the implementation of the cooperation program between the two defense ministries in 2019 and in the years to come.

For his part, General Vinh expressed his hope that the two sides will accelerate cooperation programs in the future, thus contributing to fostering the bilateral defense ties and promoting peace and development in the Indo-Pacific region.
