Vietnam, Russia to enhance scientific and technological cooperation

Delegates to the event agreed that in the first half of 2022, the scientific and technological researches of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center acquired significant results in three main fields: tropical endurance, tropical ecology, and tropical biomedicine. Notably, 67 projects and studies were implemented by the Vietnamese Sub-committee. Many research results  have been applied to actual situations and equipped for the military.

An overview of the event

Speaking at the meeting, General Chien spoke highly of the center’s operations over the past time. He asked the center’s leadership to continue enhance research to serve military-defense missions as well as training and combat readiness. He noted that the center should promote cooperation programs with Russian and other partners to boost the application and transfer of technology and the manufacture of several products of import substitution.
