The officers experienced a seven-month course with 354 learning hours beginning in March this year.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Colonel Tim Below, UK Defence Attaché in Vietnam, held that he hoped the graduates will continue to take part in special military training courses in the next two years and be ready to join UN peacekeeping missions. The UK Ministry of Defence is investing in English language training courses for Vietnamese army officers with the aim of improving their language ability, contributing to maintaining global security and stabilization. The expansion of these courses in coming years will be an important milestone, which proves the UK government's commitment to supporting Vietnam in modernizing the army and improving its international position, he added.
